Renee Jones

Renee Jones is a 9th-grade Pre-IB Honors English and AVID teacher at Lincoln High School in Lincoln, Nebraska, and the 2023 Nebraska Teacher of the Year. A 2024 NEA Foundation Global Learning Fellow and 2026 Fund for Teachers Fellow, she is passionate about global education, equity, and amplifying teacher voice at every level. Renee also serves as a University Supervisor at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she mentors the next generation of educators entering the profession. A nationally recognized presenter, she has spoken at SXSW EDU, the Innovative Schools Summit, and the NNSTOY National Conference and has been published in Education Week. When she's not in the classroom, Renee can be found reading, crocheting, being enthusiastically mediocre at CrossFit, and hosting international exchange students with her husband Jim, their four children, Maverick, Aurora, Baerett, and Ace, and their dog Lucy.
