National Conference 2014
Over 100 state teachers of the year, state teacher of the year finalists, and education thought leaders gathered in Philadelphia, PA for three days, July 9th-12th, to share and discuss issues in education policy, practice, and advocacy in order to improve the profession and strengthen student learning across the nation.
NNSTOY's National Conference Conference, “At the Core,” focused on interactions with the Common Core State Standards and featured four strands:
- Student Success
- Teacher Leadership
- Education Policy
- Community Relationships
The conference is NNSTOY’s most anticipated and interactive event among NNSTOY’s members, partners, and fellow educators, and an opportunity for teacher leaders and national experts to come together to build relationships and skills required to make an impact on colleagues, students, and the profession. Returning this year we have keynote speaker U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan, as well as Charlotte Danielson, The Danielson Group, Richard Ingersoll, Professor at the University of Pennsylvania, Angela Duckworth, Ph.D. University of Pennsylvania, and many more.
