NNSTOY Conference “Can You Relate?”: Day 2

The second day of the NNSTOY Conference 2013 "Can Your Relate?" focused on relationships with policymakers and community members. The day opened up with Minnesota's Education Commissioner, Brenda Cassellius who was thrilled by the opportunity to engage with teacher leaders.
As the day progressed, keynote speakers and panelists shared their experiences and interactions with government, community organizations, and colleagues. Discussion stressed the role of developing and reinforcing constructive relationships at multiple levels in order to achieve critical change and objectives within the classroom.
The conference also served as a reunion for some, hosting STOYs from the past 35 years, and facilitated conversation for many of the most influential and driven educators in the country.
