Dyane Smokorowski is the 2013 Kansas Teacher of the Year and is currently serving as an Instructional Technology Coach in the Andover Public schools providing professional development for teachers grades PreK-12 on the use effective technology integration, project-based learning, and global collaboration. Mrs. Smoke, as she’s known to her students, believes in a project-based, student centered classroom that helps students build skills in communication, planning, research and project implementation. As an innovative technology leader, Dyane provides professional development on project based learning strategies with enhanced technology integration and co-hosts the weekly EdTech Chat ‘N Chew Podcast. In 2009, Dyane was recognized on the national level as a Top 20 to Watch Educational Technology Leader from the National School Boards Association for her innovative solutions to support high-quality, 21st century instruction in classrooms both locally and globally.
